Hello, I am preparing JLPT N2 now and this is just the right appli to have to review/learn N2 kanjis. It is just a simple, easy-to-use appli. I recommend it.

Great app to practice Kanji on the go. Highly recommended!

Im an adult learning Japanese, obviously not the target audience, but I find it useful. Having to draw the kanji is helpful, and the spaced repetition is good.

If you wanna practice writing this is great way to learn!!

This app really helps with repetition and and remembering the different On Yomis (音読み). Definitely glad I got this!! And it shows the proper stroke order :) Its a must have for those who are beginning Kanji or want to brush up on 常用漢字 (Jouyou Kanji).

I love this app! Excellent for testing kanji knowledge. Its not just great for kids, its also fun for adults learning Japanese (Elementary school Kanji levels) who want to test their skills. The apps ability to recognize handwriting (to an extent, mind you :D) is amazing! We have not encountered any glitches. Works great on both iPhone4S and iPad2s.

However, its not without its flaws - the hand-writing recognition, while decent most of the time, is simply atrocious at others - for example Ive tried to input 員 about 20 times now, and it only comes up as 貢 or 曇！ The other issues are small, so I wont bother. Anyway, hooray for kanji!

Some annoying bugs if you get the wrong answer. It wont recognize the correct answer until you quit and restart the test. Other than that its pretty great. If this bug is fixed it would deserve five stars.

Didnt think Id see so many reviews in English. But it is a great app and Id recommend it for studying since its all in Japanese.

Review for iPod Touch 5G: Wow! This is great! As others have pointed out. Very lenient. You can change the settings to make it less lenient if you want to challenge yourself more.

I use this app to teach my kids some kanjis. The sound of sword chopping is so cool. The only thing though sometimes the app confuses between words. But thats just the technology not being complete yet.

Helped me learn to write kanji

I use this app to teach my kids some kanjis. The sound of sword chopping is so cool. The only thing though sometimes the app confuses between words. But that's just the technology not being complete yet.

Don’t know much Japanese (not even at N5 level yet) but this app is a great refresher for kanji and has a pretty good kanji recognition system. Might as well give it a try ;)

The app has a lot of kanji and is great practice for recall. It really helps with familiarizing. I'd give 5 stars for more variations of the kanji and a slightly better kanji recognition system.

The app is very easy to use and great for learning not only to read kanji, but to write them as well. The handwriting recognition is pretty good, but some characters are often not recognized (even when observing stroke order) It would also be nice if on some questions they include furigana for all kanji that haven’t been learned yet.

I think it would be great if, in addition to the sets contained in each level, one could put together their own set, like personal flash cards. Simple. I like that it puts the kanji into context with the short sentences, although sometimes I have to look up the part of the meaning and then I end up at the home screen again which is a bit inconvenient. Other than that, it's super good and helpful because I can go back and review however many times I want.

I find these apps to be pretty useful for learning kanji since its usually in a sentence or so , the only thing that i don't like is the fact that i can't stay where i was when i go check the meaning it goes back to the main screen
